Sure to be a conversation starter and captivating for sure are uncut hockey card sheets, with so many memorable cards featured among those that make up these sheets that display the fronts and backs of cards from O-Pee-Chee’s 1977-78 and 1979-80 releases. Measuring approximately 28 ¼” x 42 ¼” each, the sets included make up a complete assembly of three (3) sheets for the earlier 1977-78 set with two (2) extra sheets also accounted for while 1979-80 sheets total two (2) and doesn’t not include the one that displays the set’s key rookie card of Wayne Gretzky. For the 77’-78’s, the cardboard scrolls are led by Orr, Dryden, Lafleur and Trottier, with a couple of Mikes, Palmateer and Milbury, tops among the over four dozen rookie cards while the the 79’-80’s include names such as McDonald, Nystrom, T. and P. Esposito, Clarke, Dryden, Mikita and Keon. For the condition report and starting with the 1977-78 examples, varying degrees of creasing is worth mentioning as are other flaws such as punched holes and slight tears near the edges as well as light fading and a residue mark over one of the sheets. For the 1979-80 specimens, the story is much the same with varying degrees of creasing, small tears and some surface wear throughout both sheets. Additionally, some residue/paper loss is seen over the reverse of one of the 1977-78 sheets as well. Still a pleasing offering that is surely worthy of being displayed as part of your collection, don’t let these pass you by!
