Spending 17 of his 20 NHL seasons in the Motor City as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, fan favourite, Kris Draper, would be a part of all four Red Wings Stanley Cup championships in the late-1990s and early-to-mid-2000s. Offered here, is this jersey worn by Draper during the 1996-97 season. Displaying Nike size “52” and Centre Ice tagging affixed to the inner collar, the rear hem of the customized shortened jersey shows embroidered NHL shield and Nike swoosh logos. The front of the jersey is decorated with the famed Red Wings winged wheel crest while the sleeves and verso have been accented with Draper’s number “33” in single layer white twill numbers. “Draper” is arched across the top of the back in similar style letters. Exhibiting heavy game-use, the jersey has stick marks throughout the front, reverse and sleeves. Team repairs are seen to the left sleeve, totaling four, while board burns are also seen on both sleeves and the front, including one on the right sleeve that goes through the first layer of material. A team stamp is found in the interior of the rear hem, denoting the jersey as a 96-97 second half game jersey. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Images #1292031518 (March 5, 1997 vs Toronto) to the stick mark through the top of the first “3” on the right arm. A COA from the team will accompany.
