Backstopping the Frederikshavn White Hawks in the Danish premier league, Frederik Andersen has seen NHL action with Anaheim, Toronto and Carolina, with the William M. Jennings Trophy earned in 2016 and 2022 plus NHL All-Star nods in 2020 and 2022. Hailing from the 2016-17 season is this Maple Leafs road jersey worn by Andersen that has been photo-matched to the Maple Leafs 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Washington Capitals. Size “58” and “Goalie Style” labels reside over the inner collar with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “31” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in oversized white twill, with “Andersen” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also sports the NHL centennial crest over the right sleeve, with “3” handwritten to the fight strap to denote third set. The jersey sports good game-use with sweat stains at the right collarbone and puck marks seen over the front and both sleeve while an unrepaired tear is seen near the left armpit and post paint transfer/rubbing is seen near each elbow and the lower reverse. Getty Image #671328632 (April 21st, 2017 vs Washington – Game 5) has been matched to the puck marks and unrepaired tear seen on the front of the jersey. A team patch resides on the interior hem and is accompanied by a matching Leafs COA.
