Having moved on from the Boston Bruins after the 1975-76 season, the game of hockey’s greatest defenceman would finish his career with 26 games over two years in the Windy City with the Chicago Black Hawks. Hailing from the 1976-77 season, we offer this stick used by the eight-time Norris Trophy winner. A Victoriaville made offering with “Bobby Orr” stamped to the upper shaft, our consignor states they originally purchased the stick from former Black Hawks official scorer, Robert Rosenberg. Featuring Orr’s typically found shaved handle and ribbed white tape job over the handle/knob, the tape covers up the first “B” in “Bobby”. With “Victoriaville” factory graphics over each side of the shaft along with the short form “Vic” and “Made in Canada” on the topside, the stick is accented with an intact foil striping wrap near the bottom of the shaft. Exhibiting good game-use, black marks are seen over the untapped blade and lower shaft while other black marks are found throughout the additional length of the shaft with red paint transfer visible on the backside. A few small chips are observed at the bottom edge of the blade with a crack is also present on the blade’s top edge. Orr also used this model of stick during the 1976 Canada Cup.
