The 11th overall pick at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings after a standout junior career in the QMJHL, Jonathan Bernier has seen action in over 400 National Hockey League games since breaking into the league in 2010. From his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, we present this alternate jersey worn by Bernier during the 2015-16 season and it’s been photo-matched! Made by Reebok with “Goalie Style” and size “58” labels affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a vintage style felt Leafs crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, the sleeves and verso of the tie-neck garment have been accented with Bernier’s number “45” in matching white felt numerals with “Bernier” across the affixed matching nameplate in white felt letters. Sporting light-to-moderate game-use, puck marks are observed over the sleeves and front with one resulting in an unrepaired hole to the left of the team crest. Regarding the aforementioned photo-matches, the jersey is matched with Getty Images #517692178 (March 26th, 2016 vs Boston) and #511232092 (February 18th, 2016 vs New York) to puck marks found on both sleeves. A Leafs team tag is sewn into the interior reverse hem denoting the piece as an official 2015-16 game-worn jersey while the original team store retail tag is also still attached to the label in the inner collar.
