Drafted by Buffalo 48th overall in 1997, Henrik Tallinder started his North American professional hockey journey during the 2001-02 NHL season and spent nine of his twelve NHL seasons with the Sabres. Hailing from the 2008-09 campaign, is this Sabres third jersey worn by the 2014 Olympic silver medalist. Made by Reebok, a single size “56” flag tag is affixed to the inner collar while logos of the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Styled over the front with a Sabres team crest that sports partially embroidered details, the chest, sleeves and verso have all been accented with Henrik’s number “10” in dual layer tackle twill numerals. “Tallinder” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back in single layer yellow twill letters. Sporting good game-use, board burns are seen over each sleeve and shoulder with the ones on the left side particularly heavy and deep and resulting in a couple of small holes through the first layer of material. Additional wear is observed on the interior via light pilling at the reverse hem and loose threads at the collar. Adding to its appeal, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Images #83870209 (November 28th, 2008 vs Pittsburgh) to the one board burn on the left shoulder. A team tag denoting the jersey as a “2008-2009 Official Game Jersey” is sewn inside the rear hem and Tallinder has signed the underside of the fight strap with a black ink signature that appears without issue.
