A veteran of 615 NHL games with Toronto, Buffalo, Los Angeles and New Jersey, Adam Mair also suit up for Canada at the international level, winning a silver medal at the 1999 World Junior Championships. Offered here, is this Buffalo Sabres jersey worn by Mair during the 2008-09 season. Made by Reebok and displaying a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar, the crests of the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled over the front with the well-known Sabres crest that features embroidered details, the chest, sleeves and verso of the tie neck sweater have been accented with Connolly’s number “22” in dual layer yellow-over-white tackle twill numerals. “Mair” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer yellow twill letters. Exhibiting good game-use, stick marks are seen over the crest, reverse and right sleeve while both sleeves and shoulders show clusters of heavy board burns with some on the sleeves resulting in unrepaired holes. Additional wear is observed though more board burns and small holes at the lower front as well as board paint transfers near the left elbow. Good A Sabres team tagging patch denoting the jersey as a “2008-2009 Official Game Jersey” has been affixed to the interior reverse hem and Mair has signed the underside of the fight strap with a black marker ink signature that displays with some smudging and crowding.
