Recognized as one of the greatest defencemen of the modern era, Nicklas Lidstrom represented only the Detroit Red Wings throughout his NHL career, and earned numerous accolades, including seven James Norris Trophies and four Stanley Cup Championships. Hailing from the 2010-11 season, we have this stick used by Lidstrom. A Warrior Widow model with “Lidstrom #5” graphics over the shaft, Lidstrom’s original white tape job remains over the handle, sporting a handwritten “5” while the blade tape has been removed. A written notation is found on the top of the knob reading “1-26-11 NJ” with two other elements unable to be made out. The backside of the shaft shows both serial number and barcode stickers with an “N” handwritten on the one. Showing light game-use, a couple of marks/abrasions are found on the blade and lower shaft. Additionally, Lidstrom has signed the blade with a flowing silver ink signature that displays beautifully with a JSA sticker numbered “X30655” affixed to the lower shaft for the autograph.
