A veteran of over 1,230 NHL regular season games which included scoring exactly 1,200 points, surprisingly, Dino Ciccarelli was never drafted, with the superstar appearing for five different clubs throughout his noteworthy HOF career. Up for grabs here is this pair of signed gloves worn by Ciccarelli during the 1997-98 season as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Easton Pro 3300 model mitts in the Tampa Bay colourway of blue, white, grey and black, “Easton” is found over each cuff with fabric logo patches of the brand sewn into each wrist guard. Sporting a handwritten “22” in black ink on each cuff as the only Dino identifier, the palms show light wear/rubbing, the heaviest seen on the left one. Both gloves show heavy wear and cracking to the leather material o from aging while game wear exhibited includes the previously mentioned rubbing on the right palm as well as stick marks and board paint transfers. Of note, orange coloured material is seen stuck to places on each glove. Additionally, Ciccarelli has signed each glove with a black ink signature with both displaying well despite some bleeding from age. Getty Image #317930 (November 5th, 1997 vs Anaheim) appears to show the correct placement of the handwritten "22" on the cuff of the left glove under the "N" in Easton and appears to match what we have here though it is not clear enough to be able to call it a definitive photo-match.
