The 4th overall selection at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Roberto Luongo guarded NHL creases for almost two decades, spending time in New York, Florida, Vancouver and back to Florida to round out his career. Hailing from the early-to-mid-2010s, we present this stick, used by Luongo with either the Canucks or Panthers as this model saw use during the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. A Reebok Pro model with “R. Luongo” factory graphics over the shaft, Bobby Lu’s original white tape is wrapped around the knob while the blade tape has been removed (residue of it still present) to facilitate a bold silver ink signature from Luongo, that displays without issue. Good game-use is exhibited throughout the stick, with pucks marks found throughout the blade, paddle and shaft as well as post paint transfer that is seen on the frontside of the paddle, backside of the shaft and the knob tape. Also, to be noted, is a small crack to the fiberglass on the backside of the lower paddle, just before the start of the heel, that does not affect the structural integrity of the piece whatsoever.
