Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/14/2022
Arguably one of the most talented Russian players to ever grace the NHL, Pavel Datsyuk has represented his homeland numerous times on the international scale which includes winning gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics, representing Olympic Athletes from Russia. Presented here, we have a stick used by Datsyuk at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics held in his home country of Russia. A Reebok Ribcore III model with Russian flag graphics on the shaft, Datsyuk’s commonly seen “Pasha” is seen over the shaft. With the original black tape on the blade and somewhat sticky red-cloth-over-black on the handle/knob that is finished with a single row of red vinyl at the bottom, a handwritten “13” in black ink is also found. Datsyuk has signed the heel of the stick with a silver ink signature that appears without issue. The stick exhibits good game-use with multiple marks to the blade tape that is also torn at the bottom. Marks/abrasions are also seen on the heel and lower shaft.
