Backstopping the Big Bad Bruins to two Stanley Cup Championships in three seasons, Gerry Cheevers would go down in Bruins lore and become an all-time fan favourite for the franchise. Hailing from the late-1960s/early-1970s is this signed Northland game-used stick that was once wielded by Cheevers. A Northland Pro model that has a “Cheevers” stamp and his number “30” stamped in red higher up on the shaft below his original black and white tape knob, additional stamps for “Woody Dumart and Co. Needham Heights, Mass.” are found on each side of the shaft. Gerry has signed in black marker with the “HOF 85” notation on the frontside of the shaft. Gerry’s original black tape job remains on the blade and exhibits lots of wear to the bottom edge with red goalpost paint transfer also present on both the tape as well as on the shaft. The heel of the stick shows chipping and wear but does not affect the structural integrity of this Hall of Fame caliber piece while the edges of the shaft show some light wear as well. The stick will be accompanied by a Classic Auctions LOA.
