Originally holding a large amount of bounty once sought out by hockey hungry youth collectors of the mid-1970s, offered here, is this empty case that once housed boxes of 1975-76 Topps hockey rack packs. Originally containing three (3) 1975-76 Topps hockey rack pack boxes that each contained twenty-four (24) packs per box with forty-two (42) cards per pack. A set that included highlights such as the rookie card of Clark Gillies and numerous HOFers such as Bobby Orr, Stan Mikita, Ken Dryden, Guy Lafleur, and Denis Potvin among many others. Measuring roughly 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 12 1/2", the case displays excellent visually appealing hockey graphics over all four (4) sides as well as information pertaining to the amount of boxes and packs not the inside as well as the number of cards per pack. Sporting "Topps Chewing Gum, Inc." as well as the city and state of their distribution warehouse and manufacturing plant across both flaps on the top, a shipping label has been affixed to one end of the box on Topps letter head while residue from previously affixed labels is observed over both ends as well, likely "final sale labels" as one of them is still present just on the inside of the box. Stamped with "410952" in black ink on one side, the case survives in good condition considering its age and make up with surface wear to all sides being seen along with wear to the edges and top flaps as well as some paper loss, corner wear, folding, creasing, staining/foxing and pen marks. A seldomly seen offering, don't miss out on this one!
