Rarely found, vintage NHL ticket stubs seldom surface, especially from the venerated Original Six era. We offer a desirable group of 5 including an example for Game 2 of the 1958 Stanley Cup final! Included, we have a pair of Madison Square Garden stubs from 1945-46, with one for the Nov 17th match vs the Montreal Canadiens (won by the Habs 7-3), while the other hails from the Dec 31st contest vs the Canadiens that ended scoreless, with this Cal Gardner's first NHL game! Next, we have the 1958 Stanley Cup finals stub for Game 2, which took place at the Montreal Forum on April 10, 1958 between the Habs and Boston Bruins, won by the Beantowners 5-2, with HOF defenseman Tom Johnson and Doug Harvey scoring the Canadiens goals. This is followed by a 1951-52 Chicago Stadium stub for the Black Hawks match vs Gordie Howe and Detroit, on March 16, 1952. The final game of the regular-season, the Red Wings blanked the Hawks 4-0, with HOFers Alex Delvecchio and Ted Lindsay both scoring multiple points. Legendary keeper Terry Sawchuk earned his 12th shutout of the season, and 24th of his iconic career. The final stub is from MSG, where the Rangers battled the Red Wings, on March 9, 1958, with the latter defeating the former, 4-2. Gordie Howe scored the game winner, as 6:09 of the third on the power play. The stubs all display nicely, with the March 9, 1958 stub showing paper residue on the reverse from scrapbook removal.
