Four Topps hockey sets from the mid-to-late-1980s housed in albums in 9-pocket pages is what awaits the winning bidder here.
The complete 165-card issue of 1984-85 includes amongst its rookie cards those of 49-Yzerman, 96-LaFontaine, 90-Verbeek, 14-Barrasso and 13-Andreychuk all having NM or better characteristics with card 51-Gretzky in slightly less better condition because of a lower left corner ding. The remainder of the set seems to generally reflect the condition of the better listed cards above.
The complete 1986-87 set is comprised of 198 cards including the #53 rookie card of Patrick Roy which has a minor ding to its upper right corner and a fine surface scratch in its lower left corner area putting the card in the EX-MT to NM vicinity. Rookie cards of 149-Clark (NM attributes) and 9-Vanbiesbrouck (small dent to upper right corner - EX to EX-MT) are also included while Super Mario's second year card #122 has what appears to be a factory defect in the upper left corner otherwise having EX-MT to NM attributes. Cards of fellow HOFers 3-Gretzky and 11-Yzerman are in the EX-MT to NM scope with the cards housed in 9-pocket pages generally in EX-MT, EX-MT to NM and NM conditions.
Also comprised of 198 cards is the 1998-89 issue which includes the first cardboard appearances of 66-Hull, 194-Turgeon, 122-Shanahan and 16-Nieuwendyk all exhibiting NM or better attributes with card 1-Lemieux (small dent lower right edge) and 120-Gretzky (small ding top left corner) in slightly less better conditions. Numerous other less important rookie cards are also included in the album containing the set with the cards generally in EX-MT, EX-MT to NM and NM conditions.
More than 30 rookie cards are in the 198-card 1989-90 issue includes those of Hall of Famers 113-Sakic and 136-Leetch both exhibiting NM or better characteristics with the remainder of the set similar condition-wise.
