O-Pee-Chee’s ever-popular 1984-85 set of 396 cards features an appreciated design and some notable rookie cards, with the assembly here showing very little handling. Rookie cards of Hall of Famers #67 Steve Yzerman, #129 Pat LaFontaine (tiny ding to top right corner), #185 Doug Gilmour, #259 Chris Chelios and #327 Cam Neely highlight the lineup and are in the EX-MT to NM range but not perfectly centered. A plethora of Gretzky cards are in similar condition (#208, #243, #357, #373, #374, #380, #381, #382, #383 and #388) with "extra" cards of #380, #381 and #382 included but in lesser condition (#380 has a crease). Oilers teammates cards of #239 Coffey and #254 Messier are in similar conditions as well, with the Coffey card having small dings to the left corners. The set is generally in the EX-MT to NM vicinity and seems pretty uniform throughout.
O-Pee-Chee's 264-card 1986-87 offering is highlighted by the #53 rookie card of Patrick Roy in the EX-MT vicinity because of a tiny ding on the lower right corner and a light touch to the upper left corner. The rookie card of Hall of Famer Wendel Clark (#149) is in the EX-MT to NM range so are the cards of fellow inductees #3 Gretzky, #11 Yzerman (small ding bottom right corner), #122 Lemieux, #137 Coffey, #186 Messier and both Gretzky Assist Leaders and Scoring Leaders cards (#259 & #260). The #1 card of Ray Bourque appears to have a slight bend in the middle, most likely from an elastic band, and is in EX or so condition. Finally, both checklists #165 and #198 are unmarked and in the EX-MT to NM vicinity. This set is also in the EX-MT to NM range and seems pretty uniform throughout as well.
