Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Best known for scoring the iconic winning goal to push Canada past the Soviet Union in the Summit Series, Paul Henderson would also forge out an NHL career that spanned a total of 707 games with an additional 360 played in the WHA. Hailing from Topps’ 1965 hockey set, we offer this copy of Paul Henderson’s rookie card that has been given a NM 7 designation by PSA. Card number 51 in the 128-card set, Henderson is pictured in his Red Wings uniform on a yellow background with “Red Wings” listed above. Showing clean edges and sharp corners, the front shows some black marks on the background with light toning at the bottom edge with light touches of wear to the top edge also present. The back remains clean with the comic visible. Slabbed by PSA, the holder remains in good condition with only a few light scuffs and scratches over the front and back worth noting.
