Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The hero of the 1964 Stanley Cup Finals for the Maple Leafs, Bob Baun would fracture his ankle in game 6 but return to score the winner in overtime and even the series up 3-3 before the Leafs would take game 7 and the Cup by a score of 4-0. Pictured here on his rookie card released as part of the 1957-58 Parkhurst set, a smiling Baun is featured on the front in his blue Maple Leafs sweater with this example having been given the assessment of NM-MT 8 by PSA. Exhibiting nice centering and light toning to the white-faced cut of cardboard, the colours on the front remain vivid and the corners are still sharp. Housed in a PSA holder that has been well cared for, only a small number of scratches are seen throughout with a minor scuff on the back also observed.
