Originally drafted by the New York Yankees in 1996, Zach Day made his Major League debut in 2002 with the Montreal Expos on June 15th, his birthday. Picking up the win, Day became the first pitcher in Major League history to debut and pick up the victory on his birthday. Presented here is this early-to-mid 2000s is this Montreal Expos jersey worn by Day between at some point in his three-season stint with the Expos. Made by Russell Athletic, the lower front hem features size “50” and “+2 Length” tagging below the Authentic Collection jock tag. The front of the pinstriped home jersey is styled with a script “Expos” in two-layer tackle twill with a team patch affixed to the left sleeve. Day’s “54” is found on the front and back along with his name in similar style. Sporting light game-use in the form of staining and marks to the lower front and reverse of the jersey, sweat staining is also found around the collar area.
