A fan favourite of the bleu, blanc et rouge for a total of 14 season, Saku Koivu spent nine of his seasons in Montreal serving as team captain before moving on to play out the rest of his National Hockey League career with the Anaheim Ducks. From the middle of his tenure in Montreal, we offer this Canadiens practice jersey worn by Koivu during the 2003-04 season. Made by CCM, a single size “56” tag is affixed to the inner collar with CCM logos found over the reverse neckline and lower front hem. A size 56 patch is found alongside the front CCM logo while the NHL shield is embroidered into the rear hem as well. Styled over the front with the Canadiens famed “CH” crest and an NHL Center Ice patch over the right breast, the jersey shows stick marks over each sleeve and stains to the sleeves and front. Sweat staining is also present at the collar. The fight strap on the interior has “11 Koivu 03” written in black ink while a MeiGray patch numbered “B09662” is affixed to the inner hem with the company’s population report listing the jersey as a “White Practice Jersey – Picked Up By NHL-NGG Rep on 11/18/03” specimen.
