The dominant team in the all-Canadian division that was in place for the 2020-21 National Hockey League season, Auston Matthews potted 41 goals in 52 games played to claim his first Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the NHL’s leading goal scorer. From his 10th goal of the season and 168th of his young career is this goal puck that Matthew’s tickled the twine with at 1:28 of the third period. His second of the game, the goal would be unassisted and further cement the Leafs offense on the way to a 5-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks. The “Official Goal Puck” features a Leafs logo on the obverse with the NHL shield found on the opposite side. Tape has been added along the side that has “TOR #4 #34 2/6/21 Per 3” handwritten, with a hologram from the Leafs also affixed. Sporting wear to the ring around the Leafs logo and a cut to the reverse edge at 3 o’clock, surface abrasions are also exhibited. The puck will come in a Leafs holder with the particulars all listed on an accompanying COA.
