Highlighted by rarely seen pair of early-1900s hockey cabinet player photos, this lot offers a collection of 6 quality photos, with a pair of baseball players, a misc athlete (possibly track) and a policeman. Included, we have a bust length oval image of a hockey player in “C” wool jersey, with the cabinet stamped by famous Ottawa Senators photographer Pittaway (7” x 9”, with vertical crease through cabinet and photo), a ¾ length shot of a hockey player in winged “M” jersey, with the mount stamped Neapole Pembroke (8” x 10”), a baseball player in full-collar “Calgary” jersey, with the mount stamped by Fryer Studios in Thunder Bay (7” x 11” with spotting and a bit of damage to the mount along the top), and a bust length image of baseball player in full-collar “Toronto” jersey with a stamp from a Buffalo photographer, set in a small frame (7 ½” x 10 ½”). Additionally, there is an athlete in wool jersey with emblem, with the mount stamped by A.B. Curlette in Calgary (7” x 9”), along with a policeman in period uniform and custodian helmet, with a note attached stating “Hamilton Police”, with the mount stamped by Harper Bros of Hamilton.
