Finishing just a single point behind the crosstown rival Canadiens in the Canadian Division, the Montreal Maroons met and defeated the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 1936-37 Stanley Cup playoffs, and then lost to the New York Rangers in the second round. Bob Gracie led the team in scoring, with Alec Connell and Bill Beveridge sharing goaltending duties. This stick has been team-signed by the 1936-37 Montreal Maroons. A rare Jimmy Ward store model stick by Cho-Wood in like-new condition, both sides of the shaft have signatures in pencil, including Bob Gracie, Jimmy Ward, Cy Wentworth, Harry "Yip" Radley, Gus Marker, Russ Blinco, Paul Runge, Alex Connell, Baldy Northcott, Carl Voss, Jerry (Gerald) Carson, Earl Robinson, Jerry Shannon and Bill Beveridge on one side, and unknown, Herb Cain, Lionel Conacher and Dave Trottier on the other. Most of the signatures are fairly dark, with a few faded/light.
