Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Finishing in first place overall in 1945-46, five points ahead of Boston, the Montreal Canadiens would crush Chicago in the postseason before a memorable Stanley Cup final win over the Bruins in five games. Featuring seven HOFers, we have a rare framed panoramic team photo of the 1945-46 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens. At approx 6” x 19” (exposed), the players are all lined-up including HOFers Maurice Richard, Bill Durnan, Elmer Lach, Buddy O'Connor, Butch Bouchard, Toe Blake and Kenny Reardon. Produced by noted photographer Rice Studios, the image does exhibit some creasing and surface breaks – especially over the far right side, but these imperfections can be ignored given the rarity. Framed to full dimensions of approx 12 ½” x 24 ½”, there is some wear to the frame to note.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
