Elevating his game throughout each postseason he participated in - as evidenced by his epic Conn Smythe Trophy win in 1995, Claude Lemieux would score an impressive 80 playoff goals throughout his career, with four Stanley Cup championships won. Worn while a current Stanley Cup champion, this Canadiens jersey was donned by Lemieux in 1986-87, a season that witnessed the Buckingham native score 53 points while logging a hefty 156 penalty minutes, a career high. Made by CCM, a partially detatched Maska Ultrafil label is affixed to the inner neck as well as a born-on date tag reading “86 04” with the CCM logo embroidered into the reverse hem. Void of size labeling, the jersey measures out to a size 52. Styled over the front with the iconic “CH” crest in layered tackle twill, Lemieux’s number “32” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material with “Lemieux” across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters. Riddled with game-wear, 40+ team repairs are found in every area of the jersey with stick marks found over the sleeves and lower front as well as board burns. Popped stitching is observed on the collar along with additional team repairs while the interior of the jersey sports evidence of multiple washings on the fight strap and pilling on the inner sleeves, elbows, below the fight strap and below the Habs crest.
