This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The classic battle for world hockey supremacy, the 1972 Canada-Russia Series will be forever remembered as the ultimate clash between western and eastern powers, with the Canadians victorious, retaining their dominance over the Soviets and the sport at large. We offer a framed jersey display signed by 27 members of Team Canada. Mounted with the front showing with the famous rising maple leaf, all 27 have signed just above in matching black marker, including Orr, Cournoyer, Park, Glennie, Cashman, Dionne, Redmond, Johnstone, Ellis, Parise, Sinden, Henderson, Savard, Mikita, Awrey, Hull, Stapleton, Clarke, Berenson, Gilbert, Talon, and the Mahovlich and Esposito brothers. The signature all show moderate fading, with the black ink now appearing grey. A pair of images has been inserted beneath including a team photo, along with a name plaque and pins. “Canada” is also die cut into the matte above, with the display framed to full dimensions of approx 34” x 42”. A COA will accompany, and due to the size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required.
Please note; While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for any damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
