A Gold Glove winner in 2019 and World Series Champion with the Kansas City Royals in 2015, Lorenzo Cain was a pivotal cog in the wheel of making the Royals one of the best teams in baseball during the mid-2010s. From his time with Kansas City, we have a grey Royals jersey worn during Father’s Day weekend of 2017 against the Los Angeles Angels. A Majestic label with “46” sizing is heat-pressed over the front tail, with the front featuring a script “Kansas City” in light blue tackle twill outlined in dark gray with Cain’s number underneath in similar style. The light blue MLB Father’s Day ribbon is found over the left breast while the left sleeve has a Royals logo patch in a similar light blue Father’s Day theme. The reverse shows a similar number “6” as the one on the front below “Cain” spelt out in grey twill letters. An MLB patch is also found on the neckline. The jersey remains in excellent condition with no obvious signs of use.
Of note, an MLB hologram numbered JC078732 listing the jersey as a “Special Blue Father's Day Road Jersey Worn on 6-17-17 and 6-18-17.” specimen was once found under the jock tagging and has since been lost.
