Both the Comeback Player of the Year and Major League Player of the Year for 1992, Gary Sheffield would also win that year’s National League Batting Championship with a .330 average. A Mizuno made stick measuring 34” in length, Sheffield’s number “10” is found written in black ink over the knob and inside the barrel cup. A stamped “5” is also found on the knob. The barrel shows “Sheffield” in block letters. Remaining uncracked, the bat exhibits good game-use with a heavy layer of pine tar over the handle along with Sheffield’s thin white crisscrossing tape job while numerous marks from the bat rack and ball transfers are also seen throughout. Additionally, Gary has penned a flowing black ink signature on the barrel between the stampings with the autograph displaying without issue. An LOA will accompany the piece.
