The seventh-highest scoring Russian in NHL history, Ilya Kovalchuk was selected 1st overall by Atlanta in 2001 and spent eight seasons with the club before being traded to New Jersey in 2010. This stick was used by the sniper during the 2008-09 season. A Warrior Dolomite model with “I. Kovalchuk” factory graphics, there is a serial number stamped to the underside, with the original white tape over the blade and white grip wrapped over the handle/knob that has a faint handwritten "17" at the bottom of it. Additionally, the bottom part of the shaft near the heel has also been blacked out by Kovalchuk. Nice game-use is exhibited which includes puck marks, wear and small tears to the taped section of blade, with marks and abrasions to the shaft.
