Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Selected first overall by the Buffalo Sabres at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Pierre Turgeon would suit up for six different franchises in the NHL, posting better than point-per-game numbers over the course of his 19-season career with 1327 points in 1294 games. From the mid-2000s, we have a signed stick used by the centreman, with this specific type of model being used in both 2003-04 and 2005-06 during his time with Dallas and Colorado respectively. A CCM Vector model with a “P. Turgeon” stamp over the upper shaft, a factory warranty sticker is found affixed to the underside with a serial number sticker and factory stamp also seen on the underside of the shaft near the heel. The tape has been removed from the blade and Turgeon’s original thin white tape job appears on the knob. Exhibiting light game-use, the slightly sticky shaft shows some nicks and marks on the shaft near the heel. Additionally, Turgeon has scrawled a gorgeous silver paint pen signature over the frontside blade that displays without issue.
