The 2nd overall pick by the San Jose Sharks in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Patrick Marleau would go on to play 1779 games in the league with the Sharks, Maple Leafs and Penguins. The Sharks franchise record holder in games played, goals and points, Marleau has also represented Canada nationally, winning Olympic gold in 2010 and 2014. From his first season in Toronto, we present this signed Warrior Covert QRL used by Marleau. “P. Marleau” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft while Patty’s original tape job of black on the blade and white over the knob/handle are still present. Handwritten annotations are found on both the front and backside of the upper shaft including one reading “G 57” on the back dating the stick to February 10, 2018, a 6-3 vs Ottawa that saw Marleau record 3 points. Game-use exhibited is moderate with marks and abrasions present on the blade and throughout the shaft. Additionally, Marleau has signed the heel section of the stick with a silver ink signature that displays lighter in areas due to the writing utensil.
