Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Gracing four different NHL franchises with his presence including most famously Winnipeg, Dale Hawerchuk recorded 41 points for the St Louis Blues in his lone season in Missouri in 1995-96, and was traded to Philadelphia in March of 1996 for his final two seasons. From the mid-1990s while a member of the Flyers, we have a stick used by Hawerchuk (Dale played in 16 games with Philly in 1995-96 after the trade, and 51 games for the club in his final NHL season, in 1996-97). A Sher-Wood SOP 7000 model with “Hawerchuk” and “10” over the upper shaft, the original black tape remains on the blade with white spiraled over the shaved handle/knob. Just light game-use is exhibited on the stick with light marks on the lower shaft including to the NHL striping accent that remains intact. A light mark is also seen on the blade between the autograph and tape. Additionally, Hawerchuk has signed the blade of the stick with a bold blue ink signature that displays beautifully and has added the inscription of “HOF 2001”.
