Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
The first player selected by the Vancouver Canucks upon joining the NHL in 1970, Gary Doak played with Boston in two stints from 1965-66 to 1969-70, and again from 1972-73 to 1980-81. From the Stanley Cup championship season of 1969-70, we have a stick issued to Doak team-signed by the Boston Bruins. A Sher-Wood Pro model with "Doak" stamped to the upper shaft, the striping accents are mostly intact, with just light age/storage wear to the stick. Approx 17 in now faded black marker have signed one side of the shaft, including Orr, Johnston, Bucyk, Marcotte, Awrey, Lorentz, Esposito, Cheevers, Bailey, Stanfield and others, with many of the signatures very hard to make out. A COA will accompany.
