Regarded as the greatest defenceman to ever patrol the blue line in the National Hockey League, Bobby Orr won a staggering eight straight Norris Trophy’s as the league’s best defenceman between 1968 and 1975. Offered here is this lot of signed Bobby Orr and Boston Bruins memorabilia. A signed framed photo of one of hockey’s most famous moments is included, the photo, capturing Orr’s Stanley Cup winning goal and subsequently flying through the air. A 16” x 20” photo that has been double matted under white and black, the piece is housed in a black frame that shows light wear. With full dimensions of 27” x 23”, Orr has signed the bottom of the photo with a black ink signature that had faded over time. Also included, is a pair of letters that have been signed by Orr. The first, is a letter back to a young Bruins fan on Bruins letterhead dated November 18th, 1970. Orr has signed the bottom of the letter with a bold black ink signature that displays without issue. A photo of Orr that has a facsimile signature is also included with the letter. The second letter, signed by Orr, has been addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gadsby, dated January 15th, 1984. Orr has signed the bottom of the letter with just his first name in black pen, with the autograph showing without flaw. A magazine page showing Orr in a Black Hawks uniform is also present. Measuring 7 ½” x 10”, Orr has signed the bottom of the image with a bold black ink signature that appears without issue. Rounding out the collection, a trip of Boston Bruins media guides from Orr’s first three NHL seasons are included. Presented well with light wear to all the front and back covers, Orr has signed his page of the 1966-67 guide with a black pen ink signature with the autograph accompanied by a JSA COA. Of note, the 1967-68 guide has holes cut into two of the inside pages. The collection will be accompanied by a JSA Auction LOA.
