Longtime rivals Toronto and Montreal star in this large and interesting assembly of Quaker Oats photos, with the Maple Leafs (38) being edged the Canadiens (51) in the numbers game. Starting with the Maple Leaf offerings, found to be in a fairly consistent condition range of G to VG with some better and worse off grade examples are present throughout the group with many showing a diagonal fold in the lower portion of the photo, notables sure to pique the interest of the blue and white faithful include an example of the 47', 48', 49' team photo (light bends/surface imprints, corner creases and toning), Ted Kennedy with the Stanley Cup (light bends/surface imprints, small tear at top edge and corner creases), Harry Lumley (light bends/surface imprints), Tim Horton (x2 - one in the scope of EX condition with light corner and surface wear plus some edge imperfections and the other around EX as well with similar wear/flaws to a bit lesser extent), Ted Kennedy "action" (VG to EX - light bends/surface imprints, very small tear at bottom right edge and corner wear) and Turk Broda "in action with puck" (x2 - both around VG-EX). For the famed bleu, blanc et rouge, also found to be in a consistent grade range of G to VG with some better and worse off grade examples are present throughout the group, Montreal highlights include EX to EX-MT examples of players such as Ken Mosdell, Bill Durnan (knob inside border), Toe Blake (signed "Hector") and Elmer Lach (still image - stick blade up from corner - group also includes three other copies of this one, all around GOOD condition and displaying things such as creases, light bends/surface imprints and corner wear). With the rest of the notables including 3 of the 4 Maurice Richard examples present in the checklist (with multiples of each), the likes of Doug Harvey (VG to EX - corner crease), John McCormack (action vertical - EX), Ken Mosdell (large stick blade - VG to VG-EX) and Bill Durnan (action - GOOD) are also present and accounted for. In terms of lower condition range examples of both teams, Toronto photos total six (6) with most affected by things like creases, small tears/rips, paper residue/loss on the reverses and pen notations while low-grade Montreal photos total approximately sixteen (16) with many affected by the same flaws as their Toronto counterparts as well as stains. Of note, while most of the photos are in a respectable condition as previously mentioned, flaws such as creases, small tears, rips, paper residue/loss on the reverses, pen notations, stains, warping, light liquid damage and slight bends/surface indents are present throughout. Additionally, also included with the collection is a pair of Premium Booklets from 1946-47 and 1949-50 and a 1947-48 Dick Irvin Booklet with all three (3) in good condition with just light handling wear observed while the Irvin Booklet also has remains of a stamp affixed over the front as well as an ink stamp and a handwritten address notation on the reverse.
