The first monthly baseball specific magazine published in the United States of America, “Baseball Magazine” was founded prior to the 1908 season and continued publishing until September 1957. Presented here, is this collection of seven (7) Baseball Magazines dating between September 1927 and February 1952. The September 1927 issue leads the way, showcasing Yankees legend, Lou Gehrig, on the cover while five (5) signed examples make up the bulk of the collection. Signatures found include single signed covers featuring Stan Musial, Mel Parnell and Richie Ashburn while a dual signed cover of Johnny Pesky and Phil Rizzuto and a triple signed cover Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter and Red Schoendienst are also present. Rounding out the collection is the August 1951 issue with Mickey Mantle on the cover, a rookie season offering. The majority of the issues show moderate wear, with some exhibiting heavier wear and damage, with the collection offering endless hours of vintage reading material.
