Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
An absolute powerhouse during his time in collegiate hockey, losing only 4 regular-season games throughout his 76 contests spread over a trio of seasons in the Ivy League with Cornell, Ken Dryden led the Big Red to the NCAA championship during his sophomore campaign in 1966-67. Extremely rare, we offer a stick used by Dryden with Cornell during the NCAA-championship season of 1966-67, team-signed by the Big Red. A CCM Professional model, “14” is stamped to the upper shaft and “Dryden” is handwritten, with the original black tape to the blade, paddle (loose strands) and knob, with the stick showing good use including marks and wear, with a pair of cracks to the blade beneath the tape. Approx 24 have signed both sides of the shaft, with Dryden signing in blue ballpoint, the fifth autograph down from his original taped knob, with the other signers to include coach Ned Harkness, Doug Ferguson, George Swan, Mike Doran, Peter Tufford, Bob Kinasewich, Bob Ferguson, Paul Althouse, Murray Watkinson, Murray Death, Andrew Crowley, Bruce Pattison, Ted Coviello and others. What a find!
