Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The Calder Memorial winner in 2017 for his impressive rookie campaign of 69 points in 82 games, Auston Matthews has won consecutive Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophies as the NHL's leading goal scorer, with All-Star Game appearances in every season played thus far (the 2021 All-Star Game was cancelled due to Covid). This stick was used by Matthews during the 2019-20 National Hockey League season. A CCM JetSpeed FT2 model with “Matthews” factory graphics over the shaft, Auston’s original white tape job is found over the blade while a Lizard Skins grip with “Matthews 34” graphics is wrapped around the handle/knob. A handwritten cross is found on the backside of the grip. The stick exhibits light game-use with light marks/abrasions to the lower shaft as well as puck marks found on the tapped area of the blade. An LOA from the Toronto Maple Leafs will accompany.
