Earning All-Big Eight honors in 1993 and 1994, Barron Miles helped lead Nebraska to an NCAA national championship. Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1995, and joining the Montreal Alouettes in 1998, Miles won the CFL East Division Rookie of the Year Award. In 2005, Miles signed with the BC Lions as a free agent and spent 5 seasons with the club. This BC Lions helmet was worn by the New Jersey native in circa 2005. A Riddell model with intact chin strap, face guard and tinted shield, Lions decals grace each side, with Miles #9 over the lower reverse along with a "DR" stick, and Canadian flag and CFL stickers. The helmet exhibits heavy game-use with multiple scratches, scuffs and gouges to the surface paint along with some damage to the Lions logo on the right side. There is also paint transfer visible.
