Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
From the golden age of hockey when the NHL consisted of only six teams based in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Detroit and Chicago, offered here is this lot of three (3) official Art Ross game pucks from the Original Six era including two from 1942-50 and one from 1950-58. The 1942-50 Art Ross pucks feature their familiar octagon labels on each with one displaying in near perfect condition and the other showing darkening/toning and some light residue. The nicer of the two shows light surface wear on reverse with both sides being sort of oily. A cut is seen on the side with a tiny cut side at the edge of each face seen as well. The other puck shows some surface wear over both sides and a similar oily feeling while having a small cut on the edge of the front side and scrape on the reverse. Additional wear/residue is seen over the side of the biscuit. The last puck, a 1950-58 Art Ross game puck that features matching large octagon labels on each side with both appearing bright with only light wear, the rest of the puck shows light surface wear over each face and side with a small cut/dent seen at the edge of one face observed as well.
