Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Spanning the length that was the golden era of the National Hockey League, we present this lot containing game pucks including Art Ross Tyer 1942-50 and 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Converse examples. The earlier piece is an Art Ross Tyer puck dating between 1942 and 1950 features the classic octagonal logo on its face with a Buffalo, NY marking. The puck shows some surface wear over each side with some small chips while the logo has a piece missing and a large cut through it that also spans most of the puck’s front face. The 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens Converse example presents with logos on either side that show some toning and darkening, the most of which is seen on the Canadiens crest over the front side which also shows crazing. Both sides present an oily surface feeling with only a small pair of cuts seen over the front face along with a small chip on the surface at 4 o’clock. The side shows some residue as well but otherwise remains in good condition.
