An intriguing all-Yankees lineup, led by legends Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra, is to tell you about here, with the chronological order beginning with eight 1953 Topps cards graded by PSA. Berra is multi-creased and but FR 1.5, while looking good in holders labeled EX 5 are 100-Miller, 132-Morgan and 188-Carey RC. At VG+ 3.5 is 9-Collins and then there’s a trio at VG 3; 31-Blackwell, 35-Noren and 43-McDougald. Heavily-creased raw cards of Rizzuto and Mize and 213-Scarborough (VG) are also present. Leading eight ’56 Topps entries at EX-MT 6 are 177-Bauer, 181-Martin, 225-McDougald and 253-Noren, with a couple of EX 5s (40-Turley, 88-Kucks RC) and two VG-EX 4s (139-Carroll, 288-Cerv) also involved and joined by a 251-Yankees Team card, slabbed Good 2 by GAI. From ‘58 are five at EX-MT 6; 61-Johnson, 193-Lumpe RC, 255-Turley, 419-Schantz and 477-Skowron All-Star, along with similar raw cards of 299-Simpson and 382-Cicotte and 54-Siebern RC at EX. And now on to the Mick and the ‘59s. Mantle’s KSA 3 VG card exhibits a vertical crease in his face/cap region and small bottom corner creases, while six PSA-encapsulated representatives include 131-Johnson RC (NM 7), three EX-MT 6s (180-Berra, 345-McDougald, 417-Trucks), 395-Howard at EX 5 and 430-Ford at VG-EX 4. Completing are eight raw ‘59s (four are crease-free and in the EX to EX-MT range), a ’57 Kucks (VG) card and a roughed-up ’51 Topps Red Back card of Hank Bauer. Numerous options await the high bidder here – please see our images for the various white and gray back variations.
