Featuring approx 3.7 million viewers, the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park pitted the hometown Boston Bruins against the rival Philadelphia Flyers, with the Beantowners earning a 2-1 overtime victory to serve as the first home team to win a Winter Classic. Worn by centreman Blair Betts during the second period is this retro style Philadelphia Flyers jersey. A single size “56” flag tag is affixed to the collar, NHL and Reebok crests grace the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic winged-P Flyers team crest in layered tackle twill, “11” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Betts” across the attached black nameplate in single white twill. The all-important 2010 Winter Classic patch is affixed over the right breast. Worn for just a single period of play, no game-wear is visible and the jersey remains in beautiful condition. A MeiGray patch numbered “G13267” is sewn inside and according to their population report, the jersey is a “White Retro - Winter Classic - Worn During 2nd Period 1/1/10 - PHI-MGG Set” specimen. An LOA will accompany.
