A definite first ballot Hall of Fame candidate, Ichiro Suzuki was the real first superstar to come to the Major Leagues from Japan and its professional league, the Nippon Professional Baseball League. Hailing from a rookie season that saw the young Ichiro put up a league leading .350 batting average and 242 hits along with 56 stolen bases, we have this 2001 Bowman’s Best #162 Ichiro Suzuki rookie card. A limited release, the card is serial numbered “1312/2999” and features the Japanese phenom up to bat and awaiting the pitch. Those collectors that are seeking perfection in their cards will be pleased to see that the grading professionals over at PSA have given the card the sought-after grade of GEM MT 10. A perfect card by definition, everything present is crisp and pack fresh including corners, edges, and surface. Housed in a familiar PSA holder that displays with no wear, this prime Ichiro example sit waits to be added to your collection.
