Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
One of the only players in history to match The Great One point for point, with the pair each earning 137 points during the 1979-80 NHL season, Marcel Dionne won numerous hardware throughout his HOF career including the Art Ross and Lady Byng. The ten-time All-Star would also be just the third player in history to reach the 700-goal plateau. From the 1981-82 NHL season that witnessed the Drummondville native score 117 points including 50 goals, we have a signed stick used by Dionne. A CCM PPM 101 model with “16” handwritten and the original white tape to the blade and handle, there is a date stamp to the underside of “24 Mars 1982”. The stick shows heavy game-use including puck marks to the taped section of blade, additional marks and wear to the shaft and red paint transfer to the lower shaft. There are also some minor separations/cracks at the heel (the stick remains completely solid), with age spotting to the taped blade. Dionne has signed across the frontside heel in black marker with personalization, with no issues for the signature.
