Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Held in Sochi, Russia from Feb 12th to the 23rd, the 2014 Winter Olympic Hockey Tournament featured a dozen competing nations, with Canada defeating Team Sweden 3-0 in the final. Daniel Alfredsson would serve as an alternate captain for the Swedes and score four points, and we offer a signed stick used by the six-time All-Star. An Easton V9E model with Swedish flag graphics, “11” and “Alfredsson” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the original black tape over the blade and blue cloth with reinforcing white strand on the handle. “11 V4 1” is handwritten over the handle, with Getty Images confirming matching models used by Alfredsson at the tournament, with differing codes handwritten over the handles. Exhibiting moderate game-use, with wear to the taped section of blade and abrasions, chips and paint transfer to the lower shaft, Alfredsson has added a silver paint pen signature across the front side heel that displays well.
