Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Originally part of the foundation of one of hockey’s most fabled buildings, this brick hails from the famous Chicago Stadium, with the historic utilitarian relic augmented with the signature of the franchise’s best all-time player, Bobby Hull. Home of the Black Hawks from 1929 until it’s unfortunate demolition in 1994, the building was also home to the Chicago Bulls, who enjoyed residence for over a quarter century. At 4” x 8” and with excessive weight, the brick has a centralized plaque adhered to the top proclaiming its important status including its authenticity as guaranteed by the Chicago Stadium Corporation, with Hull signing above in black marker, adding “610 NHL Goals” and “1170 NHL Points” over the left hand side. The brick shows expected wear with small areas of material loss, and we should note that it was signed by Hull at our office, with a Classic Auctions LOA to accompany.
