Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

The third CFL franchise to represent our nations capital, the Ottawa Redblacks began play in 2014 and were crowned Grey Cup champions in just their 3rd season, in 2016. We offer a pair of Redblacks helmets from early-on, with a black home specimen worn by #75, along with a white road helmet issued for use for #17. Riddell models with intact cages and strapping, Redblacks decals grace each side, with CFL and Canadian flag stickers over each lower reverse. The helmets are distinguished by the team number decals affixed to the interior, with the black #75 helmet showing light game-use, with marks and scratches visible, along with surface abrasions and wear to the affixed cage. A “2015” production sticker is affixed to the interior, and we should note that while the helmet was most likely worn that year, it could have been worn later, with Jon Williams wearing #75 in 2015, and no player wearing the #75 in 2016, 2017 or 2018. The white #17 helmet shows no use and sports a “2014” production sticker affixed to the interior, and we should note that while the helmet was most likely issued that inaugural year, it could have been issued later, with Thomas Demarco wearing the #17 in 2014 and 2015, with no player wearing the #17 in 2016, and Danny Collins wearing the #17 in 2017.
