The last time the club made the postseason until 2020, the Florida Marlins were Wild Card winners in the NL in 2003, and advanced to the World Series against a powerful New York Yankees squad. The 99th edition of The Fall Classic, the Marlins would defeat the heavily-favoured Yankees in six games despite being outscored 21-17, with this the club's second championship in franchise history. First seeing action with Florida in 1999 before re-joining the club in 2002, Tejera made two appearances for the Marlins in the 2003 postseason against Chicago in the NLCS, which included pitching a scoreless inning in Game 2.
Available to the collection community, we are offering Michael Tejera's 2003 Florida Marlins World Series championship 14K gold and diamond ring. Size 10 1/2 with an approx weight of a hefty 110 grams, the large and dominating keepsake features a diamond-encrusted Marlins logo with a yellow gold bezel with teal diamond (the marlin's eye) over the tableau along with a dozen precisely placed rubies, sitting over an additional bed of diamonds. The precious stones are also inserted onto the outer sides of the bezel, with two additional rows of diamonds atop each shank. The right shank sports a "World Series 100th Anniversary" banner with the totals of the World Series games above, along with the games of the playoffs contests below. The left shank features a gold World Series trophy centered encompassed by "2003" and "91-71", with "Tejera" above in large raised letters and "58" below. The inner band is stamped "Intergold 14K", with "083" engraved. The especially substantial ring shows wear from use including scratches to the band and shanks, with a number of small dings to edges. The gorgeous original rosewood display case with etched detailing including "Florida Marlins 2003 World Series Champions" and "Michael Tereja" as well as 100th anniversary World Series logo and Marlins emblem will accompany, with just a small ding to the right side of the lid (14" x 10" x 3").
