Helping lead Team Canada to a record of 3-0-2 in five (5) games played and a two (2) games to none (0) sweep of the United States in the final, Wayne Gretzky would record a tournament leading total of twelve (12) points in only seven (7) games played at the 1991 Canada Cup, earning tournament all-star team honours for his effort. Offered here, we present this early-1990s Wayne Gretzky game-issued stick that has been transformed into a piece of art that commemorates Wayne's 1991 Canada Cup effort. An Easton Aluminum HXP 5100 model shaft with inserted Easton brand blade, "Gretzky" factory graphics over the upper shaft while "Gretzky" has also been stamped over the blade stem as well. Void of any tape over the blade but sporting Wayne's patented "Jack the Gripper" over the handle/knob, a handwritten code reading "C21 WG" has been penned over the butt end in black marker ink. A limited-edition piece done by renowned sports artist, Steve Houston, his patriotic artwork is found over the forehand side of the blade and is serial-numbered "16/99". Also having been signed by Wayne over the forehand side of the blade stem with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some fading from age, don't miss out on this prime and seldom seen Gretzky offering.
